Coasting

Located south of The Entrance, on a peninsula between Tuggerah Lake and the Pacific Ocean, this once sleepy seaside town on the Central Coast has become the centre of a booming foodie/fashion/thrifting haven. Here's how to spend a day in LJ.

1. Early morning yoga and turmeric latte at Modern Organic.

2. Hit the thrift shops like Long Getty Vintage or upmarket coastal vibe at Plain Janes and Shadow Bang.

3. Pit stop at hip bar/cafe/art space The Glass Onion Society. The FK’N OATS MATE was the pick of the brunch! (Warming oats with a mixed berry and rhubarb compote topped with housemate granola, coconut flakes and seeds) from an extensive Vegan, GF, raw menu.

4. Photo shoot at The Long Jetty sign (around the corner from the Green Tangerine cafe ) and at the long jetty itself, founded in 1915, and there's even a Steen Jones original if you can find it!

4. Follow Long Getty Rd until you hit the beach! Pick up an iced latte at Flour&co on the way and have a quick dip at Toowoon Bay.

5. Finish of with a drink (martini or negroni anyone?) and dinner at The Savoy Long Jetty plus a movie in the historic movie theatre.
